Italian manufacturing is evolving towards the intelligent factory, as the Politecnico di Milano Observatories have long described. Behind this transformation lie three very concrete requirements: a reliable network between sites, the protection of plants and a solid foundation on which to grow digital projects.
Connecting plants, sites and suppliers
Plants, warehouses, offices and suppliers form a chain that lives on the network. When a connection drops, logistics, product traceability and the dialogue between management and production systems come to a halt. What is needed is widespread, reliable connectivity, able to bring new sites online quickly and to keep machine traffic separate from office traffic, so that production is never slowed down.

In factories, the networks that control machines and plants are increasingly connected to the company’s IT systems. This is an advantage for efficiency, but it opens the door to new risks, because many machines are built without protections and end up exposed. Manufacturing is now among the sectors most affected by cyber attacks: protecting it means knowing the weak points, separating networks and keeping what happens under control, also in order to comply with the obligations of the NIS2 directive.

We provide manufacturing companies with six solutions that work together: the network between sites, wireless connectivity where fibre does not reach, plant security, cloud for management and business applications and solutions for the intelligent factory. All on a proprietary infrastructure, entirely in Italy.
Network and SD-WAN
A proprietary fibre network that connects offices and plants, managed simply from a single panel thanks to SD-WAN technology. The most important applications always have priority, new sites are activated quickly and machine traffic stays separate from office traffic. All on an Italian network, with security already included.
We verify where the factory is most exposed with targeted tests that simulate the behaviour of a real attacker. From there we help to separate networks, close weak points and keep plants under control, also in order to comply with the obligations of the NIS2 directive. It is a path suited both to small companies and to large industrial groups.
Cloud for management systems
A cloud dedicated to SAP management systems and to the applications that govern production, hosted in our data centres in Italy. It is designed for systems that cannot stop: service continuity and data recovery are always included, and it is managed by a specialised Italian team. This keeps the most important programmes always available.
Smart Manufacturing · Industry 5.0
We help companies bring Industry 5.0 projects into production by networking sensors, machines and data. Together with Fanuc Italia it is possible to monitor and control machines and robots in real time, while a 5G network dedicated to the plant reliably connects a large number of devices and communicates with the programmes that manage production, with people always at the centre.
Private cloud
A private cloud in our data centres in Italy for the company’s most important applications, with high performance and data that stays under national control. It is certified by the National Cybersecurity Agency and integrates with the systems already in use, bringing computing power close to the plants to manage the data collected from machines and equipment.
Wireless connectivity
Not all plants and warehouses are reached by fibre. With our dedicated radio network we bring fast and stable connectivity even to the most isolated industrial areas, with very low response times. It can work as the main link or as a backup line, so that a plant is never left without a network.

We operate within a certified perimeter subject to periodic independent verification. Our data centres, operational processes and managed services are aligned with the main regulatory requirements of the Manufacturing sector, from the European cybersecurity directives to the technical standards for the security of industrial automation systems.
