Proprietary infrastructure for System Integrators

A proprietary fibre network of over 47,000 km, 38 data centres in Italy, the AAE-1 submarine cable towards Asia and the Middle East and points of presence in the main European hubs. A single infrastructure on which System Integrators build advanced solutions for their customers, working with a single technical and commercial point of contact.

Home For Your Business Verticals System Integrator

System Integrators need a solid infrastructure partner on which to build value for the end customer.

For System Integrators, the enabling infrastructure is a condition of service. A proprietary network, data centres within the territory, sovereign cloud and operational continuity become direct levers of margin on the end customer and of project resilience over time. Market demand is shifting towards sovereign cloud architectures, applications that use artificial intelligence and archives protected against ransomware.

Retelit supports System Integrators with a proprietary infrastructure of over 47,000 km of fibre optic network with a maximum capacity of 800 Gbps, 38 Italian data centres in expansion, Wasabi sovereign cloud in our data centres, redundant connectivity with satellite backup, and voice, mobile and ATR services that can be integrated into managed packages.

For those who build solutions for the end customer, solidity, scalability and data sovereignty make the difference.

We provide network, data centres and cloud in Italy, submarine capacity and PoPs in the main European hubs. The System Integrator focuses on their own value proposition: we take care of the infrastructure.

Requirements

The requirements of System Integrators.

System Integrators operate today in increasingly complex technological scenarios, before end customers who consider performance, compliance and data control as pre-requisites and no longer as elements of differentiation. There are four areas that define the working perimeter of the infrastructure partner and that measure the quality of the collaboration over time.

Reliable and scalable connectivity

Dedicated fibre lines, alternative network paths, scalable bandwidth and multiple accesses are the prerequisite of every System Integrator project. For multi-site architectures, widespread coverage across the national territory and the ability to extend the network internationally towards the main European hubs are needed. In the most critical sites, when the main connection fails, the ideal is automatic switchover to an alternative network, including satellite.

Connectivity

Colocation and data centres ready for new workloads

Hosting equipment, building hybrid environments, setting up a disaster recovery plan and managing applications that work on large volumes of data require data centre space with demonstrable service levels and high-level certifications such as Uptime Tier IV and ANSI TIA Rating 4. For workloads that use artificial intelligence, GPU processing and liquid cooling are becoming standard requirements.

Colocation

Being compliant with regulations from the start of the project

Compliance with the NIS2 and GDPR directives, ACN qualification for Public Administration projects, a traceable activity log and anti-ransomware protection with immutable backup copies. Regulatory pressure has turned these requirements into necessary elements already at the tender stage. The System Integrator must be able to demonstrate the compliance of their technology infrastructure from the very qualification of suppliers.

Compliance

Data sovereignty

Data sovereignty as a strategic choice, no longer an option.

International pressure is structurally steering end customers towards architectures that keep data in Italy, reducing dependence on the large non-European cloud providers. For the System Integrator, being able to guarantee national jurisdiction over data and predictable costs compared to the price lists of the large players becomes an element of competitive positioning, especially with regulated customers or in strategic sectors.

Portfolio

The Retelit portfolio for System Integrators.

Nine service areas designed to support the System Integrator throughout the entire project lifecycle. From proprietary data centres to the fibre network, from the AAE-1 submarine cable to the Wasabi sovereign cloud, up to voice, mobile and ATR services for resale.

Data Center

38 neutral data centres in Italy, with enterprise service levels and Uptime Tier IV and ANSI TIA Rating 4 certifications. Avalon Campus, the largest Italian interconnection hub, hosts over 170 operators and direct links to the main cloud providers. The installed capacity grows up to 60 MW by 2030, with new sites ready for artificial intelligence workloads.

Sovereign cloud

Wasabi object storage cloud installed in Avalon Campus. A sovereign solution with immutable data and integrated anti-ransomware protection thanks to the Object Lock function. Costs are up to 80% lower than the large cloud providers, with no hidden costs on egress traffic or API calls. Compatibility with the S3 protocol guarantees immediate integration with existing applications.

Connectivity

Dedicated Ethernet (E-Link) and broadband (B-Link) connectivity, IP-Link Internet access, SD-WAN, IP-VPN and MPLS corporate networks on the proprietary backbone. Bandwidth ranges from 2 Mbps to 100 Gbps, with alternative paths and rapid activations in the main Italian and European cities. NNI network interconnection for partners who want to terminate their own accesses.

Dark Fiber

Dark fibre on the proprietary backbone, leasing or sale of fibre optic pairs. It is the right choice for those who want to light their own network with autonomous technology and capacity. Coverage on the main Italian routes and access to the landing points of international submarine cables, with the possibility of extension in metropolitan areas through dedicated ducts.

Voice, Mobile and ATR

Voice termination and number hosting services for operators and resellers, on platforms that manage over 500,000 active numbers and 170 million minutes per month. Mobile voice and data service that can be integrated into managed packages. ATR for toll-free and special-rate numbers, with dedicated portals for the management of multi-site numbering.

IP Transit

IP Transit service under AS3302, with high-quality, low-latency connectivity towards the global Internet network. Public and private peering towards the main Italian and European nodes. Support for IPv4 and IPv6 on the same interface, with the possibility of assigning IPv6 space for those who do not have their own AS.

National and international transport

Pure transmission capacity in Italy and towards the main international sites thanks to the proprietary optical network and the AAE-1 submarine cable (Bari–Hong Kong, 25,000 km). Wavelength services from 1 to n×100G, presence in the interconnection points of Frankfurt, Marseille, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Hong Kong, access to the new Magna Grecia cable.

Cloud Connect

Private connections directly to the main public clouds without passing through the public Internet network. Reduced latency, dedicated bandwidth and guaranteed service level, with the flexibility to extend the multicloud architecture while keeping data under Italian jurisdiction, in line with sovereignty requirements.

Compliance and standards of a certified partner

We operate within a certified perimeter subject to independent verification at regular intervals. Our data centres, operational processes and managed services are aligned with the main international standards and with the regulatory requirements that the System Integrator brings into the end customer’s projects.

NIS2

European directive on the security of networks and information systems, applicable along the supply chain.

ISO/IEC 27001

Information security management system.

Uptime Tier IV

Maximum level of reliability and fault-tolerance of the data centres (Avalon3 and Avalon4).

ISO 22301

Business continuity and crisis management on managed services.

ACN Qualified Cloud

Qualification of cloud services for the Italian Public Administration.

GDPR

Protection and traceability of personal data processing.
