Challenge
Distributed infrastructure and centralised governance
According to the Cloud Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, in 2025 the Italian market for cloud services and managed infrastructures grew by 18% year on year, with digital-services integrators moving towards hybrid infrastructures able to guarantee centralised governance and directly controllable operating margins.
For a system integrator that delivers managed services to enterprise clients, infrastructure capacity is a competitive asset. The company needed to consolidate its expansion in a dedicated data center environment able to combine scale and operational proximity: much of the market offering targets large standardised volumes, whereas here the priority was direct control over resources, interconnection with existing assets and guaranteed intervention times.

Direct connection of the client’s distributed environments through private interconnection over the Retelit infrastructure, creating a unified architecture with reduced latency and reduced reliance on public services. The isolation of the fibre ensures operational continuity and direct control over the network topology.

On-site presence, dedicated logistics and precise consumption visibility
On-site operational presence, reserved workspaces and a granular energy-consumption monitoring service per individual PDU through a web interface, reducing reliance on remote interventions and enabling informed decisions on efficiency and capacity planning.
