Retelit receives the Sustainability Award at the XVIII Edition of the Spain-Italy Chamber Awards 2024
Retelit is proud to announce that it has been honored with the "Sustainability Award" at the XVIII Edition of the Spain-Italy Chamber Awards, held on November 28 in Milan and organized by the Spain-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
This recognition highlights Retelit’s commitment to fostering innovation and environmental sustainability. The company stood out for implementing the first project in Italy dedicated to recovering heat from the Avalon 3 Data Center, aimed at supporting district heating and the decarbonization of Milan.
Thanks to a collaboration with A2A and DBA Group, the system will:
- Supply energy to 1,250 households annually through heat recovery
- Save 1,300 tons of oil equivalent (TOE) each year
- Reduce CO2 emissions by 3,300 tons annually, equivalent to the environmental contribution of 24,000 trees.
This initiative is a shining example of technological innovation and environmental responsibility.
